ROADS END Scam Continues

As of March 2014, people are still renting and being disappointed and disgusted by the use of this property. We have done all we can with the information we have. If you or anyone you know has rented this property in the last six months, please feel free to respond in the comments section or contact the administrator with your story or pictures. We would be happy to update the blog and keep the reviews current.

You are welcome to use a pseudonym and maintain anonymity.

UPDATE: THIS IS the property listed on craigslist as special 75% off, it is a 3000 sq foot house, sleeps 14, with a hot tub. Please do not confuse this with another property that also uses the ROADS END name. As far as we know the other listing is an honorable vacation home. The offending property uses the title:

 5br - 3200ft² - ROADS END / LINCOLN CITY SLEEPS 14 HOT TUB (ROADS END)

    Janurary 2016. There was hair and other unidentified substances in the beds. There was left over crusty food in the fridge and half eaten candy bar in the kitchen cupboard. Leaves and bark and dirt all over the carpet. wet clothes in the dryer .Dirty dishes in the sink. Dishwasher full dishes. Crusty food on stove. Front door wouldn't open from inside. Futon downstairs was busted. Cigarette ashes in bathroom. Urine and hair on bathroom toilet. Leak under kitchen sink. Water stains under sink .

      So glad I saw this post I'm due to go there in August 2016 but have not paid yet thank god. Sounds like a change of plans are in order.

      Yes, this vacation rental is filthy, with stained or soiled carpets, broken furnitures and broken appliances. Stained and soiled bedshits and pillows. Don't use the hot tub (jacuzzi). Don't pay in advance because there is no refunds and you will have to clean up the house. Do not fall for the owner's schemes. She will be nice to you right up to the point when you hand her the cash. Do not pay in adavence until you have actually seen the inside of this vacation house.

      Public records indicate the home is still owned by the same individual. Considering the home was a mess/disaster in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2016 (as evidenced by comments on this blog) I highly doubt that 2017 will be the miraculous year that the vacation home turns reputable.

    I can't believe that this owner is still doing this same song and dance. Same owner and same problems. If you do get a chance to speak to this her (owner), please do your self a big favor run the other way and search for a different vacation rental so that your family can actually enjoy time and vacation instead of cleaning up someone else's mess.

    We are renting this home currently and it has bed bugs we had to leave. The woman claims she's going through bankruptcy and can't refund us. The home is fiflthy and not as advertised. This whole thing reeks of a huge scam. Please contact us if there's anyway we can help or get help. She's a con artist she tried renting the place to our friend who pretending to be interested on the same night we are supposed to be renting it but left due to the bed bugs. We have photos and have documented everything. At this point we will just be satisfied to keep her from doing this to other people. Please contact at 503 841 8460

    I continue to receive phone calls of people taken advantage of by this situation. I encourage anyone who has problems with this home to email Lincoln City directly to send photos, complaints, etc. I sent one today to: rchandler@lincolncity.org Ron Chandler is the City Manager. Nothing will happen until enough people come forward about this home and that the homeowner appears to have a pattern of taking advantage of the vulnerable.

      I was just scammed by her and shocked by the amount of cases against her.. yet she is still able to do this??? It was so gross it made me not even want to come back to lincoln city! Seems they are not doing anything about her. I cannot imagine how many people she has scammed as she has been doing this for at least 4 years?!?!
