In the hopes that the rental property was no longer in service there have been no updates to this blog in some time. However, several comments lead us to believe that there is still a problem with the property located on SW Jetty in Lincoln City.
Does anyone have current pictures? An updated listing for this property? Or know what name is being used at this time?
We would be happy to update this blog in order to help more unsuspecting vacationers avoid the nasty home we encountered.

DeleteHi to say the least I'm sorry that this train wreck is and has this reputation. I run a small housekeeping business and I was just asked to clean this rental. OMG it is in bad shape and I hope that I can help somehow. I don't know too much about it but if the owner is willing to take this off the rental pool for a couple weeks and have it deep cleaned and brought to the level it deserves then I am willing to help but honestly this is a first and I am werry. I know she has had bad luck finding help and I hope she appreciates the efforts I make in getting it to a better standard. She has had a lot going on in her personal life and we have all been there but I am sad to see that it has the reputation that it does. I will try and make it better with some good deep cleaning. Wish me luck but honestly I'm a little scared and not sure if I can fix something that won't be kept.to a reasonable standard for all of you. God help me what did I get myself into. I am a girl that keeps her word and I said I will clean it this one time but I don't think I can be happy until a week from now it's horrible. The current housekeeper is not doing her job and should be ashamed.

Good people tried to help her but she just sucks the life, labor and money out of them ALL. If we were you, get 1000% of your money up front, IN ADVANCE,and on detailed, point by point, SPECIFIC PERFORMANCE agreement with signed in writing,(not email) contract. otherwise she may, like with most everyone else, make total BS psycho-babble excuses,demand everything and more, then not pay you. she has screwed over dozens & countless people,families, workers & tenants. If you are not careful, you will be the next victim of ***** unconscionable tactics. We suggest clicking next, that is if she hasn't already added you to the 'victim pile'. In fact try this. Call ANY Property management company within a 50 mile radius and inquire accordingly. We think you will get the true message about this one. if it's not already too late....
They may be trying to scam me now. Emailed someone last December about a rental and just got an email offering me a roads end place for a discount. Anyone have a name or website for the people who scammed you? Don't wanna put it on blast if it's not the same person.

DeleteI've been working with Lincoln City to hopefully get her rental license provoked. Do not give her money upfront she will scam you. I worked with airbnb to get her listing removed there as well so she doesn't continue to scam and harass people. Google Elina Niemela mugshots. She's not down on her luck by any means she's very intentionally scamming people. When we refused to stay she was actively trying to book the same time we had booked to a friend of ours who was pretending to be interested. DeleteShe also has a rental "share house" property. The house is also in various states of disrepair but if anybody says anything , she tries to find a way to make them not become renters anymore. She places unrealistic demands on tenants and doesn't put any money into the property to maintain it. She is a slumlord.

We would like to hear some of the horror stories and/or find other victims. Hopefully you are out of there by now. The place is a total fire trap too.

ReplyDeleteWe looked into this property in November of 2015 and then received an email in July of 2017 asking if we were interested in a few days at the beach at deeply discounted rates. Unfortunately we ended up accepting it, I sure wish I would have done my research and found this site before that. We showed up with a large group pretty late at night and were shocked at the condition of the home. It was completely beyond filthy, unsafe and not anything like the website claimed. We did not end up completing our stay. We tried to resolve the situation with her but got nowhere. I am currently going through my credit card company to try and get the charge reversed.

Please file a complaint with L-city Vacation homes division (Danielle Comer), AND the Chamber of Commerce. they ALL know about that place, and are tired of her games.It makes the city look REALLY bad, ...Scam been going on for years and YEARS. Police chief gets complaints too. If you didn't call your CC company the day (or hour) you left early, they may not help you. (We went through that once, they gave us only 50% back because we stayed, and didn't file a complaint til after we returned even though we didn't get what we 'thought' originally agreed to) If you didn't have a specific lease agreement, you are probably S.O.L like about 100-200 others...
